Gordon is a true leader in every sense of the word, his ideas drive him to inspire others.

As a boy, Gordon dreamed of becoming an architect and in many ways that is exactly what he has now become, only instead of designing future buildings, he is building and designing futures.

He has a highly successful track record in consulting, sales, marketing, building alliances and channels. Developing foundational supporting infrastructure, Gordon has a knack for facilitating company growth and performance.

On a tour that was limited to an exclusive group of serious players worldwide, Gordon traveled to some of the most spectacular destinations on earth with Tony Robbins’ Platinum Partnership. The tour provided him with a life changing opportunity to network with and learn from Tony and other world renowned teachers from all around the globe.

Those that know Gordon will tell you that he’s a dreamer but with a practical sense. No dream is unreachable to Gordon, everything is possible, and his commitment to his dreams is engaging and contagious.

Founder and CEO of Omnia Group, Gordon’s drive and enthusiasm has led to significant company growth. Gordon is tertiary educated and also holds a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning), a Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) & Certificate IV in Credit Management.

Christian Marland

Chris has a huge role at Omnia, overseeing the company’s sales, administration and marketing staff, as well as assisting our CEO with the rollout and development of new products and initiatives.

Chris is passionate about ensuring both the Omnia staff and our clients’ best interests are met in the most harmonious and inclusive way possible. He’s approachable, easy going and open to new ideas, but he is also a leader with the experience to back up his job title and the follow through to keep our business moving in the right direction.

Chris knows that happy and loyal staff, makes for happy and loyal customers, resulting in a strong and prosperous business. When not at work, Chris can be found spending time with his beautiful family or enthralled in just about any sport imaginable, either watching from the sidelines or if he’s feeling particularly agile, joining in.

Christian has varied qualifications in different fields, having studied a bachelor of Arts after finishing high school. Qualifications relating to his role in Omnia Group are as follows:

Darren Lockwood

Darren Lockwood brings to Omnia his experience of more than 20 years as a licenced real estate agent and auctioneer. Prior to joining Omnia Group’s team, he has achieved outstanding success in property sales and truly understands the growth cycles when it comes to investing in property. Darren’s role at Omnia is as a senior consultant and as a source of the best property acquisitions available for our clients.

Darren is also formally trained in the financial services industry having obtained his RG146 and Certificate IV in Credit Management.

As your consultant, Darren becomes your personal advocate. Relationships are his number one priority and he will take pride in working to promote your best interests.

Paul Riley

With more than 25 years in the building industry and 12 years in the development sector, Paul’s experience allows him to deliver results with commitment and enthusiasm.

Paul’s results and service are based on long experience in buying, developing and selling property in Australia, paired with his professional knowledge in planning, surveying, civil and structural engineering, building and planning law and advising architects on their designs.

Rick Monk

Rick is a rare individual that can be described as both creative and also as a lover of rules and order. An invaluable member of the Omnia team, holding an evolving job description that seems to grow every other week. From his small bunker in the Palace, he works tirelessly with great dedication to the team and enthusiasm for new challenges. It’s really no surprise that he recently took out the Most Valuable Contribution Prize at the companies Annual Awards.

Most always with his camera in hand, Rick can be trusted to never miss a moment and keep us all looking great, with his masterful video editing skills. As a young boy he dreamt of becoming a big TV or Movie Producer, that’s not quite where he ended up — but who knows – Omnia Studios may be on the cards for the future…

Michelle Henry

Michelle is an integral part of the Omnia Management team, working as EA to our CEO Gordon Smith and also acting in a leadership role across several departments. Michelle’s background is varied both professionally and socially with management and operations experience on a corporate level, remedial and sports therapy qualifications and a gold medal in her closet for Junior Australian Trampolinist – Talk about an array of experience!

Michelle is known around the office for her up beat attitude and helpful nature, she’s approachable, enthusiastic and hard working.

Raquel Formoso

Raquel’s career in property spans three decades and she is one of the most experienced property coaches around today. With coaching clients in every state of Australia, Raquel works very hard at maintaining long-term relationships and really has a ‘place her client first’ philosophy.

Originally from Spain and a frequent world traveller, Raquel has a broad range of interests including poetry, reading and classical music and loves connecting with people whom she can gain wisdom from and share life experiences. Raquel’s enjoys her busy lifestyle and has an incredible balance between her work life and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, which she absolutely adores.

Russell Wakeham

Having started work in hotels from the ripe age of 13, before apprenticing to a chef at 16, and thereafter running two kitchens and two hotels, Russell was an early starter to the workforce.

Committing to homeownership at the age of 24, building his own home, the director of the company took a shine to Russell’s dedication and enticed him over to real estate.

This new direction in the workforce allowed him to get his foot in the door with sales and property. He spent some of his time working on applications, subdivisions and organised council applications for new home applications this included subdivisions with a Torrens titled community and unit divisions.

Finance trained with certificate IV in finance Russell ran his own finance company for five years in mortgage. For the past 5 years he has worked for a development company selling new home products in all parts of Australia, running in home teams before joining Omnia Group.

Kristy Thomas

Admin and client support officers are rarely acknowledged for the huge contribution they make to any business. At Omnia, we recognise everything that Kristy and the support team do each day to ensure the entire business is kept running smoothly. Handling customer interactions, dealing with affiliate partners, refining in-house processes and attending to management’s requests are all in a day’s work for Kristy, our Support Team superstar.

Kristy is switched on and intelligent with an excellent work ethic. Industry bred, Kristy has worked in corporate and small business administration from the age of 18. Coupled with certificates in business administration and credit management, Kristy has a great set of skills under her belt which have driven her to be a leader in her field.

Vanessa
VanessaLoan Processing Assistant
As part of our loan processing team, on a day to day basis, Vanessa enjoys doing the detailed work involved in packaging loan applications, servicing our clients and working with the relationship management team to ensure a smooth transaction with property acquisitions . She has a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Insurance – Undergraduate in which she was a 1st Ranking Gold Medalist. Upon moving to Australia,, Vanessa completed her Masters in Business Administration (Professional) and was a scholarship recipient and Dean’s and Vice Chancellor’s award recipient.

In the past, Vanessa has worked predominantly in Risk Management within the area of Clearing and Settlement of Trades and her work mates describe her as smart and intelligent with a strong attention to detail. She has a beautiful personality, always goes above and beyond when assisting her clients to achieving the best possible result with their mortgage and finance planning ensuring they have been well looked after from start to finish.

Nerissa White

Nerissa has worked in the customer service industry for over 20 years and has found Omnia to be a perfect fit with great staff culture, work life balance and brilliant company vision. A keen netballer in her younger years, she knows the value of teamwork and is probably why she has fitted into Omnia so well.

Managing expectations and building a client for life is a philosophy Nerissa takes great pride in. With clients all over the country Nerissa has already built a reputation as an important part of the backbone of the Omnia WOW Team and wants nothing more than for clients to receive the best customer service available to them. In a largely online world, Nerissa is responsible for managing the consultants’ calendars, making sure all clients are contacted prior to appointments and ensuring clients and staff alike have the correct paperwork ahead of time. Her goal is to help clients and staff feel comfortable dealing in a hi-tech world with a high-touch, personable approach.

Elizabeth Ames

Liz is our brilliant, talented and creative marketing manager, with a tonne of experience in graphic design, photography, videography, multimedia, social media and basically anything else ending in media. She is constantly surprising and impressing us with her wonderful talents and can do attitude.

Keeping strange hours, Liz can be found with her laptop and her coffee, working into the wee hours of the morning. Funnily enough, this time is favoured by many creative minds as the time when the best ideas surface.

Mary Lou Loyd

Mary Lou is an asset to the Omnia Team. Mary Lou has a strong background in sales and she has run her own General Real Estate business as well as a marketing business, which have both been successful.

Mary Lou’s value’s lie strongly in debt reduction and building wealth using real estate as a tool. She has been involved with small developments and building portfolios for clients. Structure and support have become a mantra for both her clients and herself and she has always walked her talk and believes that in this business that is very important as it helps understand her client’s needs.
Education is always ongoing and necessary to stay up to date and on track with both financial and personal goals. She have been working in this industry for 20 years and is a fully licensed Real Estate Agent.

Many of her clients have become personal friends, the biggest reward by far.

Gerry Mackenzie

We are certain that Gerry was made for his role here at Omnia. A senior and highly respected consultant in the field, Gerry is results driven and has the ability to engage with his clients on a personal level, meeting their needs with ease.

Moving to Brisbane in 2003 from Scotland where he owned and ran a nationally renowned trout fishery, Gerry very quickly realised that he wanted to call Australia home.

Gerry setup homeware outlets in 3 states of Australia and has a wealth of experience in managing sales teams for various companies – he is now using that knowledge and experience in leading the sales team at Omnia Group.

His number one goal in life is “to help other people” with integrity and to better the lives of those he meets in all areas. Gerry holds a strong belief in, and passion for, both Omnia and our products. Educating those he meets is important to Gerry, passing on his knowledge to benefit their lives is what makes him tick.

Personally, Gerry is a specialist in renewable energies and is very respectful of the environment. He has a passion for outdoor pursuits and was a member of the Scottish International Fly Fishing Team! Currently, Gerry is still an avid walker and is also an accomplished skier.

His motivation for life is “Believe you deserve it and the universe will serve it”

Steve Sulewski

Stephen started in the property and finance industry just 6 years ago but in that short time he made his mark, winning numerous awards which included Financial Strategist of the Year, 3 years in a row. Part of this success can be attributed to Stephen’s passion for helping people make a real difference to their lives. This stems from his original profession in the healthcare industry in his role as a chiropractor which he pursued for more than 20 years. During that time Stephen’s motivation was helping people achieve their health goals; so in many ways transitioning into a role that helps people achieve their financial goals wasn’t that big a step.

During his career as a chiropractor, Stephen took the time to educate himself in all aspects of personal finance and investment learning about such things as equity, tax, rent and leverage. His successes with his own affairs has now become his passion to share with others.

Lani Davis

Lani is our newest WOW Team gem. Coming from a family of six, she is extremely family oriented, and thrives on hard work. We are blessed to have her on board.

Lani is described as bright and bubbly and always willing to learn. Coming from a high paced background in cafe management, she has been able to hit the ground running and had no trouble fitting in with the hard working Omnia Team.

In her downtime, you will find her at a gym – training in boxing. To compete in such a sport, Lani needs to call upon a high level of mental discipline that requires her to exercise and train every day that she is able. This is what enables us to deliver a quality experience to our customers and is exactly what we look for at Omnia.

David Heycock
David HeycockConsultant
David has an extensive background in Financial and Investment Markets from Stockbroking through to investment advice spanning more than 30 years which has provided him with valuable insight and complex understanding of the many and varied issues surrounding wealth-building strategies.

He has a particularly strong background and qualifications in Self Managed Super Funds having worked as a Financial Planner running his own business for many years. This provided excellent experience including a very detailed understanding of the importance of being compliant with the many stringent regulations that surround financial and investment advice.
